Props and Futures Bets
Prop bets (short for proposition bets) are wagers placed on specific events or outcomes within a game, but they are not directly related to the final result of the game. Props can focus on individual player performances, team achievements, or even random events that occur during the game.
Prop Bets Examples:
- "Who will score the first touchdown?"
- "How many passing yards will a quarterback have?"
- "Will there be a safety in the game?"
Prop bets add an extra layer of excitement by focusing on specific elements of the game rather than the overall outcome.
Future bets, on the other hand, are wagers placed on events that will happen in the future, typically well before the event takes place. These bets are commonly placed on outcomes like championship winners or player awards.
Future Bets Examples:
- "Which team will win the Super Bowl?"
- "Who will be named MVP for the NFL season?"
- "Which player will win the NBA scoring title?"
Future bets often offer more favorable odds because they require predicting outcomes well in advance of the event. Future bets are placed as *"All In"* unless otherwise stated. If a player or team withdraws before participating, then all bets on that player or team are settled as a LOSS.
